#Plastic recyclers are under pressure

Europe produces far more plastic waste than our system can handle, and #recycling alone cannot fix it

Hazardous substances hinder recycling while harming people and planet

The way out of this is making less, safer and longer-lasting plastics

From psychological tricks to misleading promotions, companies are finding new ways to manipulate us into buying more than we need.

A #CircularEconomy starts with #waste prevention - but once products inevitably turn into waste, recycling allows us to recover precious resources and give them a new life...

❤️‍🔥 Europe has the power to reclaim its heat.

It’s time to kick fossil dependence to the curb.

The EU is drafting a new Heating & Cooling Strategy - a unique chance to break free from fossil dependency and make renewable, affordable heat the European standard.

Europe’s #cars can’t be green if the steel they’re made from isn’t

Almost a fifth of all #steel in the EU is used to make cars. Most of this is produced using polluting coal-power

The Parliament caved to #automotive industry pressure, weakening proposals meant to boost circularity and reduce environmental impacts across the whole lifecycle of cars.

But they must also address overproduction and provide support to non-EU countries impacted by EU used #textiles exports.
