Yeah, also 2 days in a row lets the fellow get into a groove. In semi-ancient days as a fellow, we had no attd on weekend & just ran the list with the attd for the other team. Loved it as fellow, seems a bit much now as attd haha. Like many things...

Our MICU does clamp rounds every weekend. Makes it regular and on wkend hopefully less distractions (our jr/sr residents days off are during weekday, H.O. not pulled off to d/c someone to LTAC, less OSH in transfers during rounds etc)

The reverse--tooth fell on ETT cuff of intubated patient. Transbronch bx forceps failed. I got forceps from lab (for large Western blots) and chopsticks (not used!) from my lunchbox. Luckily, the lab forceps under bronch guidance worked before resorting to the sushi/Operation! game cross-over.
