But also, are people not actually reading the articles?? That was the longest part of research for me. I read articles to see if the content reflected the thesis of my paper or not. Once I got a collection of articles then I'd review them again to see how to incorporate them into the paper.

Making sure the article is from a real person and actually published in a real journal, to writing your own paper. This is a very slippery slope for sure and a lot of people are already busting their asses going down it.

I think it was something like all the articles there weren't peer reviewed. We were told to use the databases connected with the schools and public libraries like ebscohost and things like that.

It sounds like the whole research process has been messed up by AI from searching for articles..
