Yes, thankfully, as my mother wasn't born until after the war. He served 1909-1933; GS wound on Gallipoli, then Somme, later North Russia & joined Northumberland Fusiliers after RDF disbanded; my research is here: tinyurl.com/mvx3v6mx

Yes, thankfully, as my mother wasn't born until after the war. He served 1909-1933; GS wound on Gallipoli, then Somme, later North Russia & joined Northumberland Fusiliers after RDF disbanded; my research is here: tinyurl.com/mvx3v6mx
Thank you for sharing this - my grandfather was one of the 1st RDF O.R., fortunately not a casualty, having just served in the whole Gallipoli Campaign
