My other favorite is from a small dialect of Spanish Morocco called Haketía - the word is Jarduina (Har-doo-EE-nah). It’s a cross between a tontería (little stupid thing in Spanish) and a balagan (a mess in Hebrew). Can be used to refer to things, events, or people 😂

One of my favorites is “ungapatchka” from Yiddish - sort of like throwing everything but the kitchen sink at something and “there you have it”

Agreed! The sooner we invest in desalination the faster we will be able to solve some of the upcoming issues.

Just had this conversation with my parents (85/87)… the “what ifs” are so hard because they believe it will still be there to support them after paying in for seven decades.
