Excellent question from @antoniabance.bsky.social to the Small Business Minister at Tuesday’s Business and Trade Committee meeting on support for SMEs interested in hiring apprentices. The Minister agrees that the process is too “cumbersome”, but understands that the DWP is looking to simplify it.

Good to hear @beckyfrancis.bsky.social confirm that post-16 vocational pathways is an issue that is being seriously considered in the Curriculum and Assessment Review.

At the Deeper Learning UK conference last week hosted by Edge and the Wood Foundation in a beautifully sunny Aberdeen, we met some inspirational students and teachers at schools including St Machar Academy and Bucksburn Academy.
