I'm cynical but passionate and optimistic about the future. I'm into landscape fauna ecology especially in the arid and semi arid zones. 😁 PS not a huge fan of cat and puppy photos.
That's a little Creepy Glenn of you. 🤣🤣

Thanks Dave. So much information in the grey data sphere. Some of the work has been ground-breaking, innovative, and well ahead of its time, but hidden behind Commercial in Confidence BS, never seeing the light of day unless someone on the outside has a "novel idea" and publishes.

Having worked prior to, and during the implementation of the EPBC Act, I do not share your optimism. 😁

Many thanks, but I respectfully cannot agree. Having lived/worked through the EPBC Act, with all the same nominal intent only to see it corrupted (and quickly), I know this legislation will go down the same path. As was said in the article, "the bar for improvement is low" - subterranean, in my book

Maybe, if we could get all other (non-human) organisms classed as humans, they may get greater protection. 😁

If the big 8 are no longer aligning themselves with evidence, they ought not be considered our 'top' universities.

Actually over 2 decades now.

It's been a dirty mine for over a decade (Murrin Murrin). We also came across a whole new species of pygopod (an Aprasia) to western science... it didn't make an iota of difference. Try Victoria Desert.
