If someone wanted to teach a course on how influence laundering works in Washington, David Sacks would be a near-perfect case study.

If this were a course, the syllabus would look like:

Week 2: Invoke markets to block controls

America equips
Taiwan fights
Timing and execution are Taiwan’s responsibility

That is not a promise of intervention.
It is a conditional enablement doctrine.

This is not a force designed to “win with the US.”
It’s a force designed to deny Beijing a cheap victory without immediate US escalation.

We help you survive long enough that escalation becomes Beijing’s choice, not ours.
The U.S. said it had approved $11.1 billion in arms-sales packages for Taiwan, a show of support from Washington as President Trump focuses on trade deals and displays a softer U.S. stance toward China.

Remember this moment. Either it is the birth of crypto going mainstream in the U.S., or it may be the origin story of the next systemetic economic collapse,as crypto and Wall Street/banking now are becoming so intertwined a crypto crash could be a contagion event. Time will tell.

Sam's position has always been that sacrificing Taiwan is acceptable.
