☀️Is there a maximum classroom temperature?

edapt.org.uk/support/know...

🏫The School Premises (England) Regulations 2012 (which applies to maintained schools) do not specify maximum classroom temperatures for any parts of a school.
Is there a maximum classroom temperature? - Edapt
Maximum classroom temperatures can be a hot topic for discussion during the summer months. GOV.UK explains that during working hours the temperature in all indoor workplaces must be reasonable.

Have you seen the new Robinsons ad?

Interesting discussion on @ttradioofficial.bsky.social this weekend about the role of unions. Edapt was founded in 2011 to support teachers who wanted protection without campaigning. Unions matter, but they’re not for everyone and teachers should have a real choice and they do!
"I do not believe teacher unions should get involved with political activism that isn't to do with education" Jo Fox

Why haven't the DfE published the STRB teacher pay recommendations yet?

Despite the DfE having the report, they won't publish it or their response until after the local elections (1st May) due to us now being in a period of 'purdah'

What's purdah? Let us explain...
