Some irony here! Just working through a key text for the new economic order which warned, ironically, against such an approach as we see today. Care to name the text?

I consider myself fairly good with #biodiversity #semantics. however, this word salad has temporarily floored me! Any translations into anything vaguely ecological? @euanritchie.bsky.social www.oecd.org/en/publicati...

So, the underlying point is that we should see space exploration as a net benefit but Earth as a net cost? Fascinating juxtaposition of articles -

It's always a joy to be able to review 6 new books on a topic for @britishecologicalsociety.org @harrisonke.bsky.social . This time, #decolonising #ecology!

This resonates! I'm going to enjoy tucking into this! Elgin - Epistemic Ecology MIT. The title caught me (lack of actual ecology!) but I'm going to see where this goes!

I love the serendipity of research! Looking for something, find something else, but interesting. Was Nixon an environmental president? When did the US start objecting to economic reparations? Actually c 1972: Stunning to see so much material. nsarchive.gwu.edu/briefing-boo...

Annoying pop ups for the first time. Don't need them, not clicking on them. Ideas on how to remove?

So, I check the news before work and get this. Nice example of irony and juxtaposition (from the top!) - story, detail, analysis, explanation!

If we are thinking about any #biodiversity #credit scheme, then we have to know, accurately, what one unit of nature is worth and how it can be defined/delineated. Not an easy proposition, might be impossible in some cases. Of course #economics is not #ecology so that might explain part of it.

Amphibian help needed @ecolsocaus.bsky.social @euanritchie.bsky.social ! Local daily creek walk. All of a sudden I get reports of numerous toads dead on the footpath. Never seen it before in years of walking. Ideas on species, causes, issues etc. would be most welcome. TIA.
