Not sure who told the city's Forestry Branch I have 3 planets and my moon in Cancer but they put in a CRABapple tree. If you go back to March in my timeline you can see photos of the beautiful old elm being removed. Darn Dutch Elm disease.

Dug up about half the plants in the front yard. Because the seed potatoes came as a mix I could only guess what some were when I planted them. My first planting of beans is still producing so Poor Man's Polpettone di Fagiolini e Patate is on the menu tonight.

September 12 and I'm finally cooking my first spatchcocked chicken of the summer. Atmospheric conditions for most of the summer were not conducive to burning solid fuel.

🍽️ Gochujang and honey shrimp, veggie skewers including squash from my garden and fingerling potatoes I dug up yesterday, parboiled then grilled. Done over lump charcoal. It's been an awful summer for bbq weather-wise and I am thankful I could get one in today.

It's been an excellent year for garlic. Decent weather and applying the knowledge and more importantly experience I've gained over the decade or so I've been growing them has produced amazing results . 40 of my biggest bulbs ever are now curing in the cool room.
