Ngl I'm a little irritated at myself for adding low angle face poses that were a pain in the ass to draw and also never going to be used in the project. I will choose to be lazy next time loool

I started with the default Krita digital brushes, but they're definitely a little too crisp and it makes the drawing feel artificial. I ended up trying out the pulp brushes from the mojo moo resource library and those ended up being a lot more crunchy(?) and messy in a way I liked.

I'm trying to stick with three shades-gray, black, and white-but figuring out where and when I want to use them took experimentation, which kinda led to the art style drifting over the sheet. But it was pretty fun to try out different brushes and I've got a better idea of the style I want now

Still, I had fun putting this together and learned a lot. It feels good to work on a big project and slowly see the pieces come together, and it really puts into perspective(pun not intended) what I want to improve on.

Fabric is tough to get right. I probably should've decided the planes in the clothing while getting the line art down, and the range of values I ended up using wasn't incredibly... congruous with the style I was going for.

This was pretty heavy on perspective and pretty difficult to get right. I'm reasonably sure I didn't actually, but I realized that after getting halfway through my shading layers. I was also trying out a couple things here and there with shading-some worked, some didn't

The apartment has a sort of cold, washed out, color palette and is really cramped, but there's also a certain charm to how lived in it seems, and you really get the sense it could be cozy with a little color and some company. It's a pity I'm not good at choosing appropriate colors yet lol

This is based mostly off the brief scene in nyaan's apartment in ep 6, which lasts for around thirty seconds and is one of my favorite segments in the series. It's an incredibly dense set of shots which really puts so much of her character in perspective.
