I recall in that big naval battle against Isard’s super star destroyer how it devastates the smaller capital ship, so they just barrel roll around to bring their undamaged guns to bear. Blew my mind like oh yeah they’re in SPACE, it’s not like a naval battle.

Rogue Squadron books along the very best of the expanded universe has to offer. The Aaron Alston run on Ghost Squadron was great too, perhaps even better.

My teacher read Where the Red Fern Grows to us in 5th grade and I remember when we get to the knife twist of that story she stopped for the day and told us she likes to stop there to give her kids time to process and accept that yes, they’re really gone, to spend some time dealing with it. Loved her
