The best way to spend a Saturday morning is watching To Live and Die in LA on a big screen and then listening to William Petersen tell stories about what that shoot was like. No notes. Exactly what I wanted it to be.

guys have you seen RIVER’S EDGE? I saw it last night and can’t stop thinking about it? Aside from being chaotically upsetting, mildly surreal, and thoroughly disillusioned, it’s also got Keanu at his most beautiful (in his first role!) and a troubled Dennis Hopper the same year as Blue Velvet…
And I managed the first part, too. Really struck by Chris Santiago’s “States & Capitals,” from his book Small Wars Manual.
