it's that amalgamation process, finding the neutral/most recognized patterns and just replicating them. all it does is make the least disagreeable version of a thing (outside, of course, of the fact it's inherently disagreeable that it exists). but that means all you get is bland mush.

I'm there, but its such a slog? it feels like its hard to find and connect and (because META) it feels like a lot of us (myself included) have locked down into private mode, though that feels like its own barrier to connection/added challenge even finding each other.

Have I been trying to throw myself back into the work (and if possible the community) as an escape from the horrors and staring into the void too long? maybe. Recs super appreciated!

And I’m like with you. I’ve got no clue how to find it or what looks good or how to make a vibe, but I crave and then surrender sadly to no style at all.

Idk I feel like some people are just good at faking style ease? There’s so much involved! I feel like it’s like ballet, that some people have learned how to make it look effortless (and have the resources to afford it)and that’s why they’re icons. I don’t think it’s you.
