Isbue is peeking out of his house. I keep smaller shelters inside the big goat shelter to offer a safe space. Goats hold a hierarchy that can entail lower ranking goats being chased away. Creating these spaces helps to keep the goats safe.

This isn't pitch, but thin sheets of ice covering the pines. The white glare is reflection from the snow. Our small acreage of planted pines are covered like this. Absolutely gorgeous.

The EB Ranch Farmstead is changing to the new name of The Liminal Farmstead. I think farms are inherently liminal spaces, and I have been intrigued by this concept before I ever learned the word "liminal". I sometimes feel like the SCI goats are mascots for the liminal. #sanclementeislandgoats
