One of the only pieces of non-African Diaspora art in my home is a large print of Waterhouse's Lady of Shalott.
I went to the Tate in 2001 and saw it in person for the first time. Listened to the audio guide recite the poem... and tears were running down my face.

Yesterday’s dinner was grilled chicken kebabs, Aldi’s quinoa and brown rice, and caprese salad with fresh basil from our garden… with leftover pitas from Yasmeen’s Bakery.
Mom does most of the cooking but didn’t feel well. Not my best plating (to say the least!), but the meal was a huge hit. 🍽️

I miss that huge bonus room in my rental: 18 by 18 foot!
Closed on my Lily Pad three years ago and the office/den is teeny tiny. The gaming chairs are in basement storage because my mom and sisters wouldn't let me give them to my nephews... ol' haters! 😂😆

I've changed my style up due to the tariffs, which will affect both natural AND human hair extensions. I'm still natural, just blow-dried my hair for an old school press and curl.
