My protest group, Good Trouble Lubbock, gathers tomorrow morning at our congressman's office. Jodey Arrington, die-hard Trumper, has announced he's not running for re-election. We are celebrating with signs telling Jodey how much we won't miss him.

Hope this is readable. Ted Cruz on Friday called me and millions more "terrorists" on the eve of No Kings. I take great offense at an official elected to represent me in Congress using such inflammatory language against me & others using our First Amendment rights and obligation to defend democracy.

This guy won for best props. He even had a little joke "form" he handed out. Mine got lost.

We had a decent turnout for No Kings in Lubbock.

We had a good turnout today to protest trump's budget choices. This week it was Congressman Jodey Arrington's office's turn to "host" the gathering. In addition to the signs, we now each write a letter to the member of Congress we visit and give those to their staff.

Two more dancers from the Great Promise for the American Indian dance troupe today at the Lubbock Arts Festival. This organization has a big powwow in Austin every November. Powwows are awesome!

Attended the "Hands Off" rally amid the snow here in Lubbock. I lasted about an hour. It was fun but quite wet and extremely cold.

A bunch of us spent a chilly lunch time protesting outside U.S. Rep. Jodey Arrington's Lubbock district office. He won't hold an in-person town hall. He won't stand up to mump and trusk.

Took a break from castigating members of Congress to go for a walk and got to a charity thrift shop 10 minutes before it closed to find and purchase this awesome St. Pat's hat. Discovered when I got it home it's got flashing lights you can turn on around the hat band. So yeah.

Always happy to show off some of my #shelfies. On the right is my "presidential library" (books by/about US presidents) followed by books on the presidency in general and some American studies books. On left: favorite/cool books and kids books.

#bookshelves This bookcase focuses on European history. Also art. The lowest shelf houses really books and those with super cool, vintage covers. #booksky

I won National Novel Writing Month, meaning I hammered out 50,000 words in 30 days, forming an exceptionally rough draft of my first cozy mystery novel.
