I read that shrinking grassland productivity because of a prolonged drought in the state is reducing herd numbers, marginalizing the Tyson plant's need and profitability. I hope it isn't lost in this story that this closing is likely a real-world example of global warming economic costs.

Russian Asset Trump is not "literally constantly shaking hands." I mean, this is just a straight up lie in and of itself, never mind as an explanation for why his hand appears to be turning purple and necrotic.

Its not just how evil he is, its also his buffoonery and incompetency. He is so cringe! He has zero honor. It seems so obvious to me and yet some people still adore him.

Same as it ever was. There was a similar dynamic during reconstruction, if I recall my high-school history. Poor southern whites largely blamed the newly freed slaves for their economic condition, not the elites exploiting both groups. The common thread seems to be self-defeating racism.

Honestly, I'm not so sure. Farmers knew what they were getting when they voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2024--more trade wars and employee deportations. They expected to get another series of bail-outs, like they did in his first admin. Farmers like handouts so long as only they get the $.

Absolutely. Framers couldn't have known what modern media is capable of, and the billions and billions spent on disinformation and misinformation, both domestic and international. Fox "News" and other right wing media are real enemies of democracy, and have been for some time.

If I read this correctly, the MAGAs and 'cons are sacrificing military readiness to insure contractors can (over) charge (and delay) maintaining military equipment so they can get paid off. Is that right? The corruption runs so deep now, hard to really wrap my brai around.

I can't believe it is coming to this, needing to protect ourselves against illegal federal police behavior. What is this, Russia? And yes, by all means, install multiple cameras. Maybe make one of them real obvious, easy to see and reach/disable, and another hidden/not easily accessible.

Exactly! Why have them on the show if they are so clueless? Or, why have them on the show if they lie so brazenly? If the guest won't answer a simple, fair question, then find someone who will! But "news" isn't what they're doing here. Seems more like giving the 'con party free air-time.

I really don't know what it means. Not trying to be snarky, but I'm genuinely confused on what the message is. Is the "strong floor" a reference to the social safety net? Is "No Ceiling" a reference to limitless possibilities? Dunno. If I have to decipher it, then it has already failed.
