My view is that it wasn't broadcast in Florida, therefore no case to answer. End of.

Is it really such a cult, that nobody in the White House can stand up and say No, this stops now.

I wonder if the Bishop of London would like to comment on the use of the church for this service and the supposed sermon.

Had a similar conversation in New York around 1995. Things have very clearly changed now.

Its interesting to watch the crowds in these clips with the sound off. They are often chatting, laughing amongst themselves and looking away from Trump. They dont seem that engaged to me.

I've suggested elsewhere on this thread that it may be too politically sensitive to pursue. That doesn't mean that our security services aren't continuing to investigate though. But because of the implications if proven, the evidence would need to be overwhelming for them to make it public.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was too politically sensitive to pursue.

Its the same backers using the same tactics. Only time will tell if its successful here. If the polls are to be believed, its working at the moment though.

You have to be optimistic in life to follow football!

It seems to me we are putting down foundations for a pre election announcement. Done correctly, it will boost the country and more than likely give Labour the second term they desperately need.
December 6, 2025 at 9:41 AM
A bit of a result. Can I start listening to BBC radio again without having to listen to him droning on every hour?
December 4, 2025 at 5:38 PM
I think its probably their only real chance for a second term. Combined with the slow but very real moves towards closer ties and the recent blaming of brexit for the country's woes, you could see that being the plan.
December 3, 2025 at 6:38 PM
And I suspect that would be the one move that would guarantee re election or at worst, a coalition.
December 3, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Its exactly the same in the US with Trump. Says the most awful things, nobody in power should get away with, yet zero push back from the media.
December 3, 2025 at 10:14 AM
In 3 years, the media will gleefully usher in the worst and the most damaging set of MPs this country has ever seen. Labour need to wake up to the fact that the media are the enemy within. Implement Leverson now and announce a public inquiry into Russian interference in our politics and media.

I had a wonderful week in Lamlash last year. Beautiful part of the world.

I've noticed that the flags are slowly disappearing. Councils finally acting perhaps.

Follows on from the story in the Times yesterday of the woman who bought a 6 bed home in North Kensington for £4000 in 1970. Now worth over £2m and is worying about how she will pay the £2500 per year mansion tax. Its ridiculous but people believe it.
November 29, 2025 at 10:59 AM
Sadly I very rarely listen to radio now, for this very reason.
November 29, 2025 at 9:11 AM
I guess that would depend on how far and wide the corruption and interference has reached.

Ive had a similar experience recently. Having not visited the doctor for a few years, last week booked an appointment online, had a call back from a very helpful person within 30mins and was seen the same day. Couldn't ask for better than that.
November 24, 2025 at 12:58 PM
They probably are being investigated, but whether that ever becomes public knowledge, is an entirely different conversation.
November 24, 2025 at 11:56 AM
I know. You could almost believe that some in the media and beyond have been bought as well.
November 23, 2025 at 12:21 PM
Until Labour tackle this head on, you have to assume that they are also compromised. There is no other explanation for why they wouldn't.
November 22, 2025 at 1:18 PM
Its also the way to deal with reform. The more the public understands the UK needs to be close to the EU to enhance their lives, the more reform becomes irrelevant.
