Not really. Nothing you order from Amazon would be available locally at any kind of price you would be willing to pay. The reason the post office has such problems is because Republicans have been trying to privatize it for decades. Amazon is just the modern Sears catalogue or Wells Fargo Wagon.

Because centrists (especially in America) are right wing leaning. They might not be authoritarian, but they are more aligned with the fascists than labor or social democrats, and a far cry from Socialists or other left leaning ideologies.
