is this fun to see?? this is the speedpaint. it reveals my greatest shame: i zoomed in and focused too much on the right side

as a digital artist i can cheat a little with shaking hands using stabilizers (on clip paint) or streamline (procreate brush settings) but using a painterly style really helps because it's not like there's lineart

but you're right! just trying to portray the vibes of the landscapes is great

changing my perspective and being less perfectionistic and letting myself just really wrestle with a painting instead of making a really accurate sketch has been the biggest part for me. i've also been watching people gouache and oil paint and they just GO AT IT it's crazy

they shut off the water for the heaters and connected the two finally, I remember it was crazy though because you’d hear really loud water draining sounds and rushing water and that’s concerning when there’s an apartment above you lmao

yeah im not sure honestly it’s a good thing because when I googled it I was seeing that it might have air in the pipes which makes it less effective but hopefully they’re fixing it for your apartment! it weirded me out for so long until I remembered my landlord would send us emails saying

might be your type of heating in your building maybe…?? I had an apartment that heated every apartment in the building with hot water radiators (small foot wall ones, not the big ones) and they’d make water draining sounds and sloshes in the winter when the heating was on…
