I did this with a Mega Man boss and I had a lot of fun. No harm in trying unless you end up not enjoying the process, so I say go for it

Final week and we lost most of our sets. Some sets were close, we didn't play too bad all things considered, but competition has gotten too stiff.
We placed 26th/145 teams in the total league. Not bad for my first event with the Flame Runners!

one of my friends plays other shooters and tried out splatoon, said that deaths often felt too random. there is actually so much to focus on in this game even beyond what someone new would notice, even if their mechanics are technically pretty good

We skipped Week 6, but Week 7 we got 30th/53. Had to play against two top-level teams out of six sets but I feel like we played nicely so I'm happy w this.

It's not that they're completely fake, but I think people care too much about them. They're more of a snapshot for a specific moment in the past than a concrete ranking and it's impossible for a team to be perfectly consistent, so a div 6 team could play like a div 4/8 team on some days etc

Week 5 and we got 30th/66. Probably our weakest play so far. It felt like almost all of us were playing really hit-or-miss and had big peaks and valleys. Happens though, nothing saying we can't bounce back next week
