Our big problem is less the morons but the self-aggrandizing finance & tech bros - all “born on 3rd base but think they hit a home run.” Their AynRandi hatred for all us below them is part of the same tradition that gave us Nazis & arguably, other self-appointed elites, eg, Bolsheviks, Red Guards…

Amen! Decorations that are just "look at me, I'm rich, I have fancy new things" make me feel like a character in a George Saunders story. Old ones are souvenirs of who we were in the past, each from a different part of our lives & those of our loved ones.
