If the dynamical Lie algebra of the Hamiltonian is small enough, this gives you a useful time evolution circuit with time-independent(!) depth. Pretty nice 😎 If you like quantum complexity theory more than Lie theory, this is fast forwarding a Hamiltonian in practice 🙂
