As a teen I made mistakes before my sister came out as gay. Mindlessly parrotting homophobic stuff I'd heard. When she came out I realised how shit I must have made her feel. I don't ever want to be that ignorant again as an adult. Have since met trans people, and I care about injustice in general.

Our wars end with potbellied politicians wining and dining at fancy hotels, while the bodies of young soldiers are scavenged by hyenas, and their mothers mourn. It has happened over and over again (2022, 2008, 2000 and more).

We fail to grasp just how much of a needless and futile waste war is.
