Growing up in VN, I'd get clothes twice a year, once during Tểt and once when school starts, new uniforms. Now, my children get things continuously throughout the year from me, mom, brother, etc. While it's certainly a better thing, I think they miss out on the appreciation of receiving.

Currently watching Babylon 5 (on s4) and reading Walden, which I found in Half Price Books for $3. I remember our AP History teacher made us read it. It's a difficult read still.
