"Be safe, the both of you," G'raha said softly, looking between the two of them and making Foulques' heart twist in his chest. "We will," Cel replied easily, pulling G'raha into an embrace and pressing a kiss to the top of his head, a smile still firmly on his lips. Cel had accepted their time apart, had welcomed it even, but Foulques' stomach still twisted thinking about it – he knew that this wasn't his decision to make, that no matter how much he wanted them to stay together that it didn't matter, the choice was already made. G'raha pulled back from the hug and looked up at him with an expression that had Foulques wanting to run, to get on the ship without a word, to not have to address the tumultuous ball of feelings in his chest… "You promise?" G'raha asked, reaching up to cup Foulques' cheek and all Foulques could do was lean down and press his lips to G'raha's, hoping it conveyed everything he couldn't say. He had never been good at goodbyes.

Celestaux does not think he is, he would assume he's pretty average, but he's HOT. He was generally like average pre-DT (really pre-EW) because he was covered up and had his hair down, and then he put his hair up and got comfortable with his arms out and the glow up was real

Added most of my gateway haul to my cozy desk corner, plus some other prints I've had for years and haven't had the spoons to hang up since I moved!!

He'd barely understood what was happening when the Ragnarok landed and most of the Scions had started ushering people away from the docks and up towards the Agora, but the poorly disguised concern on their faces was enough for him to know that something was wrong. That and the blood still staining Thancred's gloves. Foulques had pushed through the crowds of cheering and celebrating people, refusing to follow the flow up away from the docks, and that's when he saw Cel's near lifeless body being carried off the ship in Estinien's arms and he felt the world fall out beneath him. If Estinien hadn't seen him immediately and said simply alive, Foulques likely would've burned all of Sharlayan to the ground, to hells with the Final Days being averted. They would've had a new enemy to deal with, the Star would've had him to contend with — and he'd have started with the Scions.

My brain still thinks it's Wednesday, so have a wip about it because I'm absolutely chewing on the thought of Foulques getting yanked to the First
"I don't know who the fuck you are, but you're going to send me back," he seethed, using the confusion to his advantage. "You're going to send me back now," he continued, baring his teeth as he glared down at the stranger. He didn't know where he is, he didn't know who this man was, but that would not stop him from doing everything in his power to get sent back to where he belonged. Already the thought of Cel seeing his lifeless form like they had seen the others sent him into a frenzy – he would not have Cel worrying over him, not if he could help it. He would not allow Cel to think he was dead, or worse. "Unhand me," the mage grunted, but Foulques just continued to glare down at him, seeing a flash of red eyes peak out from under the hood. "Send me back and I will," he hissed back, slamming the crystalline arm against the wall a second time, that same crack bouncing off his eardrums.

It was late, but Celestaux didn’t want to fall asleep and have the night end, so he continued laying beside G’raha and letting his finger trace along the crystal. “You’re so gentle,” G’raha broke the silence, making Celestaux’s hand pause only for a moment. “Hardly anyone has ever been quite as gentle as you, not for a long time, at least,” he added, his one hand coming up to cup Celestaux’s cheek. He smiled a little and turned his head to kiss G’raha’s palm while his finger kept trailing along the cool crystal of his partner’s arm and onto his chest. “I know it’s not like I’m going to break you,” he whispered, looking back at G’raha’s chest and mapping the outline of where flesh met crystal. “I’d hope not, I don’t think you could. While our strength is rather equally matched, it’d take quite a bit to break me,” G’raha replied and Celestaux could hear the laughter in his tone.

"You're not coming." It wasn't a question, they both knew it, just a statement of fact. A fact that had G'raha, for just a split second, rethinking his decision. Foulques was not an emotional man – at least, not for anyone or anything other than Celestaux – but the tone in his voice had G'raha questioning if maybe, just maybe, he had earned a place in the man's heart.
