There are trade-offs when wishing for more nature and biodiversity. A risk of losing productive agricultural land in a world with rising demand on land use. A change in food consumption away from cows would help or can even be said to be essential to ease this trade-off.

The Danish Green Tripartite Agreement and Its Impact on Food Production in Denmark
The direct effect of the Danish Green Tripartite Agreement will be a lower food production in Denmark. This is the almost inevitable result of the correct and ambitious goal of the agreement to reduce...

No universe in which rare minerals are a scarce resource and the green transition is a ravenous beast after those same resources. Whilst at the same time expecting the used minerals in batteries to go to waste.

Good overview of Danish climate politics (in german)... maybe as a bit of inspiration.

We analysed the “odds” of Denmark achieving ambitious climate goals for 2030. The political initiatives are in place but implementation is a whole different ball game.
When correcting for skew probabilities re over/under-performance of agreed climate initiatives, it is actually only ~20% probable that Denmark will reach our 70% reduction target by 2030.

Challenges of energy transition. Background: DK has had its fair share of tenders with CFD for offshore with falling prices ending in final large tender without CFD. DK has built succesfully for present power demand but for future demand is a different story -👍 thread by @emildimanchev.bsky.social
A cautionary tale unfolded last week as Denmark failed to attract bids for offshore wind. What can we learn from this?

This is a multi-dimensional problem, but the primary lesson I believe is that Denmark wrongly expected developers to take on market risk. 🧵🔌💡1/9

Failed offshore auction highlights how Denmark missed winds of change
Denmark's failure to attract any bids in an offshore wind power tender this week stems from a rigid auction model, a failure to adapt to a changed economic reality for renewable energy projects and rising competition, analysts said on Friday.

Last thursday I expressed my concern that a lack of electrification would be a barrier to Denmarks largest yet tender for offshore wind. That unfortunately proved to be more than true. With no bids for new offshore wind. concito.dk/en/news/lack...
Lack of electrification risks hindering more offshore wind
