A Muppet. A trombone.
Together, they fight crime.
My first question is, who is ole' Larry emailing now for advice?

Handsy Higgins simply doesn't understand the meaning inappropriate touching, does he?

This isn't that hard for me - I'm very comfortable with Linux and I'm not hooked on my phone.

I liked having a nice machine with a nice ui on top of a real Unix. But it has been getting a harder to figure what and why MacOS communicates with the mothership, and I just don't think I trust them now.

I got my first Mac in 1991. I might be typing on my last.

Bluntly, the apparent eagerness Cook has for tongue-bathing Piggy Trump has me thinking about the ways in which I currently implicitly trust Apple with very personal data.

I'm still puzzling over "nose test. Telepathy."

My first thought was "stoned", and I think I'll stick with that.

The way that fell out of his mouth, I'm thinking Mom tried to shut him down that way when he was a wee shitweasel.

I think he deserves to drift into dementia hearing it. "Piggy Trump" is now his name in this house.

My sample is probably biased, but most of the lawyers I know were undergrad lit majors.

A correct compound plural next to that rhyming on social media makes me wistful the days when my group chats were full of English majors.

I've never really given much thought about the mechanics of a media campaign like this. I assume she's organizing this herself?

At least I can't imagine what the expected payoff that would fund a PR retainer would be.

I don't work anywhere near games, but the engineer in me has to note that gravity is free and, in aspects that matter for a pinball game, perfectly reliable in ways very few real-world things are.

But they'll trade that to slap ads on something.

Advice like this is indistinguishable from how a malicious insider would try to gaslight people.

I'm making no accusations. I've known well-meaning people with an uncanny knack for exactly the wrong thing to say. I also didn't take their advice.

I'm beginning to think there's a parasite involved.
November 15, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Oh yes.

And you see somewhat less egregiously gross versions of that attitude among the merely rich. Especially common among small/medium business owners who hire blue collar workers, but widespread.
November 14, 2025 at 9:41 PM
But I look forward to more United Stating going forward.
November 14, 2025 at 9:19 PM
I didn't realize "United States" could be declinated.
November 14, 2025 at 9:19 PM
So odd that the evangelical professional victim brigade isn't loudly protesting this vicious use of state force against peaceful religious practice.

Drip catcher?
November 14, 2025 at 3:54 PM
We all accept that T&S is impossible to do well, but Bluesky seems to be leaning in to "so let's be absurd, stupid and selectively rigid".

The internal metrics that team tracks would be super interesting to see.
November 14, 2025 at 2:58 PM
I'm so sorry. And selfishly glad I don't have my name attached to a kook-magnet topic.

I hope the move on soon.
November 13, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Not so much, no.

Even if I could get past this utterly shitty behavior, the prissy holier-than-thou attitude coming from this mini-Hoover just makes me want to puke.
November 13, 2025 at 6:29 PM
To make the narrow claim stick, you have to demonstrate far more about who knew what, when than I believe you can. (But then I haven't done the exercise either.)
November 13, 2025 at 6:10 PM
It sure looks to me like you are making a narrow technical point while asserting a position of apparent authority, and trying to use that to smuggle through a far wider claim that fails.

Nobody is claiming an article should have been written about one picture in isolation.
November 13, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Sorry, this is just fucking boring.
November 12, 2025 at 5:47 PM
The volunteer political messaging consultant brigade seems to be out in full force today.

If your bag is sniping at people for talking in public, tone-policing, or otherwise trying to work out your control issues in a public, well, that's what the block button is for.
