also, on Thufir - or the lack of him. you mentioned that he was photoshopped out of scenes. which to me means that DV's original intent was to have him there. so while yes, it's a pity he's missing, I appreciate the effort. I think DV tried it and then probably made the right (but painful) choice

a nit i have to pick is exactly about how quickly the great houses got here. and for that matter, how quickly the Baron’s message got to them.
we know that interstellar travel is not instantaneous in this universe, the heighliners are on scheduled routes, etc. so for ALL houses to appear in a day…
