He said: “It was inspiring to see our football community come together at Wednesday's tournament. It celebrated, not just the talent and teamwork of our local clubs and charities, but the shared commitment to fair pay and inclusion.

All are valued members of the Dundee Living Wage family, showing that fair pay and community spirit go hand in hand.

City Growth and Infrastructure Convener, Cllr Steven Rome, joined the teams on the day to thank them for their continued commitment to fair pay and also to participate in the games.

A huge congratulations to Dundee FC CT who are a newly accredited organisation in the city this year, and to Dundee United CT, who have proudly held accreditation since 2023. A big thanks also goes to the Change Centre who hosted the event and are also Living Wage accredited.

The event shone a spotlight on the fantastic work the local community trusts do to improve lives across Dundee and the surrounding areas - promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and participation in sport for all.

On Wednesday, 12 November, the Change Centre hosted a special Living Wage football tournament featuring teams from Dundee FC Community Trust, Dundee United Community Trust, the Dundee Living Wage Action Group, and Street Soccer Scotland.

"They do fantastic work using physical activity to boost wellbeing and support learning, and it’s great to see that effort being recognised. Their dedication to fairness, opportunity, and helping people thrive is a real asset to our community.”
