I love it when teammates fight. The infamous Grobbelaar vs Mcmanaman scrap from 1993 is one of my top 10 favourite football moments. More teammates fighting please, it shows they care!

I'm wiped out after the Planetary Futures conference that @sadiahqureshi.bsky.social and I organised over the past two days at the University of Manchester. Huge thanks to everyone who gave papers and attended. I think it all went well!

I searched for Andreas Malm's Fossil Capital recently, and Amazon now thinks I'd be interested in this book on 'why global human flourishing requires more oil, coal, and natural gas - not less'. I'm not sure the two books are related somehow.

'The New Life' by Tom Crewe is a brilliant book, the best novel I've read in a long time

Ah, Skibidi Toilet. Our 9yr old son was obsessed with this recently and even had a skibidi toilet birthday cake. He decided it's not cool now though and has moved on.
