Also, was listening to Richard Wolff talk about how early economists had to ignore or hand waive the exploitation inherent in the capitalist mode of production to cheerlead capitalism to become the dominant mode. What Marx called Base and Superstructure.

I get it. The competition between companies in a system based on squeezing the most "market share" drives innovation to a point. But w/in 10 years of the devastation of WWII the USSR put rockets into space. Not competition, cooperation.
