Wait so does what's on sale just swap out or does it increase?

The whole show-off high school love triangle thing is so embarrassing for two characters in their 20s played by actors in their 30s.

Yeah that is absolutely generative AI looking into it.

Still maintaining that we should distinguish what is and is not generative AI, but that aspect absolutely should be called out.

So many games are using excuses as to why the needed AI. "It was just a placeholder", "We couldn't get all of our voice actors in".
All of those would be so much better and cost you way less money and maybe even time if you just did it yourself.

The worst thing about AI is how it makes people devalue themselves. Write that dialogue, I know you can do it! Voice that NPC, it might be awkward but at least it's not generative AI.

If they're worried about it the easiest solution is upgrade paths. Which it seems like they're learning for Yakuza 0 Director's Cut.

Game looked cool and I thought when people said it had AI that they were incorrectly saying that the mood analyzer and basic image pattern recognition in the character creator was generative AI.

This however is absolutely generative AI and it ruins the game.

Yep. Getting into digital art has never been easier than it is today, and even then people will still use AI trash instead.

For pixel art, which is much easier with a mouse than most other forms of art, Aseprite is also free if you're willing to do a bit of tinkering and $20 otherwise.

Phone styluses are cheap, even the fancy precision ones, and basic rudimentary USB drawing tablets really aren't that much more expensive. All of these AI "art" programs cost money, to the point where one month of some of them costs more than a drawing tablet.

Part of it is definitely that AI is a ridiculously nonspecific term.
Just please check if what you're getting mad it is worth getting mad at and is actually the thing that upsets you.
