matters to their development in future chapters is Fumiko. Great characterization as an opportunist due to her social disadvantages as a woman and then one of the best reveal setups with the std devil.

by payoff i largely mean how its development is handled in future and i dont love it. Yoshida gets some nice development and then promptly discarded. Denji's "perpetual motion machine" cant come up since its really only pochita fighting Yoru. The only character that feels like what happens here...

rereading aging last night made me realize it may be the best arc in part 2 and i wish it got better payoff (im assuming the recent chapters are supposed to be the payoff to it (theyre better after rereading in bulk but its not great))

Sucks how he could easily make this work if he just had Denji flashback to Yoshida calling a miserable time "normal" and have that be reason for Denji trying to make a new world where normal doesnt suck shit. That's what Csm church should have been about.
