This post was all the inspiration I needed to plant mine that was languishing in a pot. Fingers crossed that it survives the summer transplant....the soil it in was holding too much water.

I also made sure to plant it at an angle to keep the water from pooling in the center and causing rot.

'Pozo Blue' sage has exceeded all of my expectations, it's such an amazing plant!

The smell is remarkable and the flowers have been going off for what seems like months now.

In 1 year it grew from 4" pot to 5' tall and 7' wide. #CaliforniaNativePlants

First Monarchs we've ever had made some deposits this afternoon! Year 3 for the showy milkweed and year 2 for the narrow leaf milkweed. It's nice to be doing a small part to help them out. #CaliforniaNativePlants

Saw the 'Burst' series monkeyflower at Home Depot this weekend and they were on sale. This form is very unique and it flowers profusely. I'll have to go back tomorrow and pick up a red one. #CaliforniaNativePlants

Austin Griffiths Manzanita that I planted in my yard 6 months ago was only 9" tall. Today I took a picture and it measured in at 26" tall. It seems very happy here and I'm excited to think what it will look like in just a few years time! #CaliforniaNativePlants
