Yes, there are many others to blame — even more directly — but The Atlantic and The New York Times platformed and mainstreamed those voices in America, and now trans children and their families are paying the price.

Oh yeah, I never think anything is going to be “the thing” that finally pushes everyone too far anymore. I truly think the only thing that’s going to stop him is that which will stop all of us eventually.

My mother would have- with my oldest sibling. But then if she had survived that, she would’ve died giving birth to me. Both of us were breach babies.

Your vision sounds a lot like my wife’s. She’s been using a stick for the last couple of years and it’s really improved her quality of life. There really isn’t a point where you are “disabled enough” to use aids. You should use them when they will help you.

She is a disgrace to our profession

You’re right, I misspoke. Haven’t had my coffee yet.

Is decriminalizing hemp part of the deal? I’m trying to find a source for this, but coming up empty.

I was 19 years old. I’d just realized I was a Lesbian. My neighbors were debating whether I was a second class citizen, unworthy of a normal life. Then they all voted that I was and I didn’t. I felt so betrayed, so angry. I moved on, and moved away, but the memory of that election still rankles.

Like I said, I’d like to see the data on it. I could see driverless cars eventually being safer - especially compared to non-professional drivers. But I’m not exactly holding my breath.

I am not at all opposed to getting away from car culture, as long as we invest in public transit infrastructure at the same time- especially if we prioritize disability access. But, alas, I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen.

I doubt that we will ever be in a position to have no deaths on account of cars. If driverless cars cause less death I could see myself eventually supporting them. But I want to see that data first.

Weirdly, opposite issue for me. I have low impulse control and it’s better for vendors to have as few barriers as possible between me and giving them my money. I should probably be encouraging not putting prices up - for the sake of my wallet!

As a frequent con-goer, I usually pass on tables if I can’t see the price. Either the person running the table is busy with customers and I don’t want to interrupt them, or they are not busy and I don’t want the awkwardness of deciding not to buy right in front of them if it’s too expensive.

Make sure you order it as a Chicago Handshake. You’ll want the chaser.
