The rest of the changes are whatever, but the search order swap is diabolical. If it had moved somewhere else in the UI it wouldn't be as frustrating, but it's SO CLOSE to where it should be for 100k players. Crazy.

I've enjoyed it, but I was specifically looking for a static rendered framework with escape hatches for server-side pages and UI frameworks (React in my case). It does have nice plugins, use astro-pdf to render my resume page to pdf

I think if I discard those needs, I'd move to something like 11ty

I had a similar experience, I attempted to build a very small, static-only site on a low-resource VPS, and it kept running out of RAM.

I had to enable a fat pagefile to get it to build, and it took minutes.

I switched to Astro.

This is pretty slick, I've also been interested in stripping down node projects at work. If they can back port the work to 22, we might get native TS support in aws lamdba, which would be huge.

Would love to have node, typescript and aws libs be my only deps with no compile step.

The more frameworks you have under your belt, the easier it will be to learn the next "new best thing" that appears. Vue is fun, try it out!
