I take my foot off the gas/hand off the throttle before most intersections long enough to check left and right to give myself time to adjust. I've been hit on motorcycles multiple times by people who can't seem to stay off their phones long enough to notice they're running a red light.

I definitely remember the facepalm moment I had when brexit happened, too. While I don't live in Europe and don't have a dog in that fight, I just don't get the logic behind it...

Rational and reasonable people don't need to be radicalized and shouldn't be susceptible to it either, imo. It's definitely ok to have conviction, but conviction without rationality and reason are how we end up with unhinged people. I wish I had the solution... 🙁

I know it's extremely cliche and unrealistic to say, "Fuck 'em. Who cares what other people think?", but it holds SOME merit. In my opinion, it's more about not giving those types of people that kind of power over you. That's exactly what they want.

I feel like the dem party has a bad habit of getting complacent, which is weird because VISUALLY the party looks very mobilized.
