This was a great roundtable, lots of important questions from the audience, giving the impression that data donations will be around for longer, if we get it right (based on comments from the audience on postcards) #aoir2025

Both work, but burst designs show more fatigue + attrition — still useful if high temporal precision matters.

Our new policy paper on #DSA40 explains the detailed processes of data access (with updates from Delegated Act), describes still existing bottlenecks, and discusses the challenges of legal right vs. platform resistance and is asking all stakeholders to act in good faith and to deliver.

Do Alternative News users also use legacy media? Yes they do, shows a study by @gongbaobao.bsky.social @weizenbauminstitut.bsky.social but a small fraction - around 1.3% of the German population - live in alternative news enclaves
