I mean, by private you mean US baed. Canada isn't going to let China build a pipeline but in Carney's defense the move to diversify oil away from the US is urgent and if Canada needs to pay for it, it is a win. It's the means and the optics on his approach that are terrible.

My biggest worry is this is Bush 2.0. Bush created departments and laws for his own purposes but Bush only cared about Oil. His legal reframing however set up DJT to f*k the country. It's not what Carney's doing now that is worst. The worst is yet to come with how he is doing this.

Fucking furious

1. Guts Carbon Pricing but doesn't implement new policy
2. States repeatedly Climate Defense is future, right now we "need" to build
3. Creates dictator-modelled dept.
4. Snubs BC entirely and publicly

All equal 1 thing:

Carney wants this pipeline asap.

If he did it for AB votes he is out of his mind. He can be the most Conservative acting PM in history but AB only sees him as a Lib.

But that's not why he did it. He did it for the $$.

One day maybe he will care about the climate; certainly could care less about integrity rn

Great news for women experiencing violence. Oh wait, many of them are working and don't qualify. My bad

Water wars.

Only the substance we need most to survive that people will soon be dying for having and not having.

Can the NDP for the love of all that is good wake up and, like, stand up for Canadians, actual Canadians that include women and people with a pulse. That's literally all I'm asking for any more

I hate this timeline in every sense. What 2015 held up as hope for the future is officially completely undone.

They are cheaper, but combustion based companies are keeping prices higher. A 100% tariff on BYD cars is still cheaper than what the Big 3 are allowing in North America. Yet Canada does not even allow registration. That's a problem
