Thank you for your comment. The Find It Early Act only addresses screening and diagnostic testing, not surgery. Most states have programs for underinsured or uninsured women of limited means to help with surgery, but I think they vary on coverage of reconstruction if done as a preventive measure.

Insist that a breast imaging specialist interpret your (preferably 3D) mammogram, breast ultrasound, and, if done, breast MRI. Don't ignore symptoms (such as a lump) even if a recent mammogram was normal, esp. if you have dense breasts. @densebreastinfo.bsky.social @auntminnie.bsky.social

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. Nothing substantial has changed in mammographic machines or positioning for 30 years other than the option to now use contrast enhancement. Rotator cuff injuries are rough! They can still get a good mammogram without torturing you. Get a senior tech.
