✊ That's the close of the ballots!

❤️ Well done to everyone involved in the GTVO efforts, speaking to members, and getting your ballots in! It's been a big collective effort!

💬 We should get the results for both the national and the local on Monday - so more soon!

📢📢 KCL student union members have voted overwhelmingly in favour (1564 for 186 against) for a motion calling KCL to expand its Ethical Investments Policy to divest from conventional weapons (as well as controversial weapons) and from companies involved in human rights violations

Grotesque treatment of our colleagues at King’s. Solidarity to those facing harassment and intimidation for speaking out ✊
Over the last 2 days pro-Palestine staff and students at KCL have received further threats from the extreme Zionist campaign of harassment and intimidation that has been going on for the last 18 months, including death threats and incitement to violence. Solidarity to all those affected.

Great idea. Also shame on the associations, especially every single Byzantine Studies association that never mentioned Palestine 🍉 while using artefacts from it and producing knowledge about it. Cowards.
We launched the Society for the Study of the Past yesterday at our Palestine event - a response to the fact that our disciplinary associations have failed us. It’s already looking like the only club I want to be in… More coming soon, but for now check it out here: societyforthestudyofthepast.com

The treatment of our colleague Dr Rana Baker is unacceptable. Dr Baker is a serious scholar and a fine person, calling her a “terrorist” is immoral and libellous. We need to stand up for academic freedom ✊🍉
