They only get away with color-evasive racist claims like these because we let them.

This is such an intentional and blatant destruction of programs created to level the playing field for students from low income/ underserved/ marginalized backgrounds. They mean to keep everyone “in their place”. Only the elite privileged kids will have access.

It’s my turn to join scholars whose grants got terminated. I’m grateful that we spent that $ gathering in February & building a community who will continue to freedom dream an expansive #BER w/ radical hope that together we’ll build something > the current western, colonial, & capitalist
system.

When selecting places to study and work in the US, I always intentionally picked states where I could avoid this ❄️🌨️☃️ 🥶 Survived Texas in 2021 and hope this weekend in Georgia is not a repeat of that mess😩 At least my dogs are enjoying it 😆 🐾🩵

I enjoyed my 1st #ASHE24! I met & learned from great scholars, spent time w/ a friend, & had the unexpected chance to catch up w/ an old student from my GTA days at SF State & who is now a PhD student in Higher Ed 🩵 Also enjoyed the confused double takes when I shared I was in a Cell Biology dept 😂
