Using this book as a foundational text for a part of my argument on the perception of dementia within the construct of ‘healthy ageing’ next year.

Forgiveness and redemption are extremely important.

It is really important for the clinical professions not to reduce public trust further by excessive claims about the 'prevention' of frailty and dementia.

The allegations are now at 'breaking point', some might say.

Billie Eilish's comment about greed is spot on.
We should not forget this when considering the wider political economy of dementia care, including unpaid labour mostly done by women in the private sphere.

I'm concerned about the misogyny/sexism which may have crept into the abbreviation of Faiza Shaheen's description for #bbcqt.
She is also, compared to Matthew Godwin for example, an accomplished author and academic, e.g. www.lse.ac.uk/people/faiza....
Maybe it's all "politics innit"?

I saw a photo of current students at my old school, where I was 1987-1992 before Cambridge. Felt quite nostalgic about the whiteboard, where TJP would solve 30 mark impossible Further Maths single stem questions without difficulty.

Currently thinking about what to do in my new book on older age.

Every time I hear "The fate of Orphelia" by Taylor Swift, I think of my beautiful Mum struggling with dementia instead of a beautiful young woman drowning as depicted in the iconic Milais painting in the Tate Britain. #fateofOrphelia
