These films suffer for replicating scenes from earlier movies. We all saw the first Jurassic Park, my dudes.

They typically measure one or the other, but girls are just easier - menarche is a really clear sign.

Boys typically start a year or two later.

Sigh. It’s actually true, and at least some of it is likely due to socioeconomic inequality.

Though that’s just first menstruation, and puberty actually starts a year or two before that. Not clear you can easily measure whether that varies by race.
