The EU Vote Intention variables includes more than 15,000 responses. With our VAA dataset, it is even possible to analyse the voter placement for parties such as Last Generation (Letzte Generation), Die PARTEI, ÖDP or the Pirate Party.

The GEPARTEE Expert Survey also includes minor parties such as Free Voters and Volt, allowing to analyse party voter congruence for smaller parties. The raw expert level dataset includes expert placements of more smaller parties such as ÖDP, Pirate Party, Tierschutzpartei (Animal Rights Party).

In addition to the raw dataset, we also provided a weighted dataset and a quota sample with n=2,000, minimising large weights. Although VAA data suffers from known self-selection biases, we show that our VAA dataset reaches as many politically highly interested voters as the EES 2024.

We recorded more than 40,000 users. Almost 15,000 have answered the last question of the additional survey, enabling researchers to do in-depth analyses. Along with their positions, users could also rate item saliency.

Bei der BTW haben das 66% gesagt. Wäre also extrem überraschend, wenn ihre Kompetenzwerte nicht steigen würden, wenn ihr Zuspruch steigt. 2/

However, once we control for policy-congruence on the three dimensions, we see that sociodemographics (except for a small age effect) do not significantly affect the probability to vote for BSW (relative to all other parties). Also, the explained variance is large, with R² close to 0.7. (6/n)

East-west differences are striking - on all dimensions, we see that BSW-O-Mat users from the east have higher scores than west Germans, i.e. are more congruent with BSW's policies. In the west, Saarland, Wagenknecht's home state, stands out - just like in the electoral results. (5/n)

The estimated positions on these dimensions can be interpreted as congruence with the BSW. Older voters and women have higher congruence on all dimensions, while west Germans and highly educated are less congruent. Differences are most pronounced regarding the foreign policy dimension. (4/n)
August 28, 2025 at 9:41 AM
We first focus on identifying relevant policy dimensions based on user answers. The FA suggests a 3-factor-solution: an economic, a cultural and a foreign policy dimension. NB: Interestingly, we don't find a separate populism factor; instead, these items correlate with the main dimensions.

There is a strong east/west divide visible regarding BSW support: In the east, the party was almost as strong as the SPD, while the party won less than 4% of the voters in west Germany. But what is the reason for that?

Populistische Einstellungen sind aber tatsächlich im Osten stärker verbreitet, siehe Grafik (Quelle: brill.com/view/journal...). Auch das Saarland sticht aber heraus ;-)

This doesn't seem to be legal. Facebook says that in order to delete a business portfolio, you must delete the pixel associated with it. Deleting pixels is "currently" not allowed. Thus, you can't delete a business portfolio. Which is problematic if you want to add another one, because it's capped.
