Randomly come across an old Amiga video game from the early 90's called Syndicate which had an intro where a civilian is abducted for modifications that turns them into something like a Rubber Drone.

Been thinking about why isn't there a mecha anime series where the pilot has to sync with an AI? Except it's the other way round and the AI takes over and uses the pilot to control the mecha. Obviously the pilot has to wear latex and faceless helmet because... well, reasons.
