Good points all around but Trump being detached from reality is the most disturbing. Who is running our government now? Trump is in the throes of dementia without anyone willing to step in and intervene.

He is so desperate at this point that he has to reinforce support among his most extreme supporters. It’s up for debate if he even understands what he is posting but the erratic nature of his public statements is cause for alarm.

That’s my point about the aw shucks persona. He seems like a putz but it is a charade and he would be a front for a theocratic coup that we wouldn’t recover from.

He won’t visit them on his own volition. If someone tells him that he will score political points he might if it doesn’t interfere with his golf plans.

Yep- he turned it into a political attack on fellow Americans and I stopped watching. He had a really tough time reading the teleprompter. It is past his sundown time, after all.

His first post wasn’t as bad as expected although he didn’t mention that he needlessly put them in harm’s way in the first place. I’m sure he will drag this into the mud soon.

WAPO is similar to Twitter- there are still good people associated with them but the ownership has ruined them as reliable sources of information and insight. Bezos and Musk have made them shadows of what they once were.

The last we heard Xi had ordered a small fraction of what was promised. Appeasing Xi seems to work about as well as Trump’s appeasement of Putin- little if at all.

It’s been said before but Kennedy was chosen by Trump solely because of his last name and willingness to suck up to Trump. Anything he or his department says is suspect. He is a deadly freak show.
